So, that’s where the traffic’s from! August 12, 2008

I used to be fairly obsessed with my WordPress Blog Stats page.  I now virtually never look at it, partly because there’s now an encapsulated version of it on the admin page, which is also my homepage for Windows Explorer.  I had noticed, however, a recent increase of traffic to my rice milk recipe, so I thought I’d scope out the stats page for a possible explanation.

I found it:  Someone put a link on Wikipedia’s entry on rice milk to my recipe.  Two links, actually.  It wasn’t me, I swear.

That reminds me… we’re out.  Again.  After more than a year of making it, I STILL whip up a batch every week to 10 days.

My 2yo Audrey loves it.  Still.  She’d live on it, if she could.  That’s good and bad:  Good, because it’s nutritious, and bad because then, her tummy’s full of rice milk and she won’t eat her regular meal.  We limit her to three, 9 oz. bottles of it daily, and try to give them to her when it’s not right before a meal… but, still.  She’s dinky.  She’s thin.  She doesn’t look sickly, but she turned two in April, and can still wear some 12 month-sized shorts.  She had a 2T skirt on yesterday, and it kept slipping down.  She’s simply not all that interested in eating.  Well, except for candy.  She loves candy.  And Glutino gluten-free pretzels, at $6 per 14.1 oz bag.  Ugh.  Yes, that would be her ideal diet:  candy, g.f. pretzels, and rice milk.  ~sigh~

Audrey sounds like my Kelsey… she is 43 months now and weights a whopping 29 lbs… most of her clothes are 24 months. I always laugh because people assume she is younger than she is and then she does crazy stuff and amazes them.

She too, would live on GF pretzels, Rice milk and in her case, fruit leathers. Everytime I turn around she is sneaking into the GF snack drawer! Little Turkey!

Yay for your Rice Milk link! I REALLY need to start making it!

Cheers!
Jamie
