Thank you for sharing. You all did a beautiful job! We recently became a gluten free household and plan to make this as a new Christmas tradition. My kids 5,3 and 19 months will love it!

Despite being a music therapist, it still makes me nervous to teach "typical" adults guitar. I did teach the basics to a couple of friends so that I'd have practice in how to teach, and they both surpassed me in skill. Next Tuesday I start back receiving lessons to bulk up my learning. I finger my G chord wrong and I'll be he wants me to change it. I don't think I'll be able to. It's amazing how those habits get ingrained.

Asiana has WAY better Engrish signs than Lee Lee. It's more like the family corner market, while Lee Lee is the corporate grocery... I like Asiana better, actually, but since we've been eating a boatload of lamb because of Fiala's allergies, and Asiana doesn't carry any, I've been shopping at Lee Lee instead.

I will have to look for that rice. I have had yellow rice in Europe, but I have never made it.

I hope the elimination diet is going well. My younger guy has this rash that won't go away so we may be headed that route soon.

Mmmm, crickets.

"long time just wandering the aisles" -- yes. I still do that and I have been there (and to Asiana Market on 51st Ave & Union Hills) countless times. For me, there's no such thing as a quick trip to the Asian market.

Erin and I went to Lee Lee once, about 6 weeks before Abigail was born. We spent a long time just wandering the aisles and trying to figure out what everything was and how much we might enjoy eating it. I did find one item in the far corner of the store that I thought I would not enjoy. The label was in some kind of foreign script, not Japanese or Chinese, but I could tell the contents of the can from the picture: crickets. Yes, canned crickets. Now, if I were a youth group leader, I know exactly what I would have done. Fear Factor, canned crickets edition.

Wally, although I had ZERO expectation for it, a nice little friendship had been forged between Stan & me, through this blog, his blog, an occasional e-mail, and most recently, his facebook account. :) If you haven't visited his blog, you should! (Hm! Links aren't working for me, either! Must be something with Wordpress this morning. It's http://stanfellows.blogspot.com )
