My sister has a blog!

My sister Robin has a new blog.  I think she’s not really wanting blog traffic until she gets the hang of blogging, but I guess I’m not honoring those intentions by promoting her here.  😀

It’s called Teacups in the Tailings.  I’m not sure what that means.  I do know that tailings means “mining offal.”

I enjoy my sister immensely.  We are as different as… well, we’re very different, in just about every way imaginable.  But, I so very love her, and I so very wish she lived next door to me.  Instead, she just drives up my cell phone bill by compelling me to text her, and makes me cry when I think I might not see her for yet another year, and she knits things for my babies, and remains the kind of person who makes me grin EVERY time we talk, even if it’s about Very Important Topics, of which we likely disagree.

Love you, Boo.

About Karen Joy

I'm a partially-homeschooling mother of six -- 3 boys ages 19, 17 and 15 years old, and three girls: 11, 8, and 3. I like birding, reading, writing, organic gardening, singing, playing guitar, hiking, the outdoors, and books. I very casually lead a very large group of homeschooling families in the Phoenix area. I have a dear hubby who designs homes for a local home builder and who is the worship pastor of our church. I live in the desert, which I used to hate, but now appreciate.

  1. Wow, the family is developing quite the blogging presence. Your dad is here in CO and I was just explaining blogging basics to him. Excellent header picture, by the way!

(And, no, I won’t blog about or link to postpartum issues, thank you very much…)

  2. “Actually, I’m a heathen – I don’t have anything to say about god.” – Wow. Kind of like my sister and me. But in reverse.
