My friend Erin’s new baby

Hi, friends.

Many have asked me about my friend Erin;  I was to be her birth coach, and Erin was 11 days past her EDD.  The good news is that she’s now here!

However, since sweet 7 lb 7 oz baby Abigail Ruth is not my baby, I need to keep public description to a minimum.

The very short version is that when my friend Erin arrived at the hospital at about 1:10 this morning (I arrived at about 1:15), her baby was already in fetal distress.  She was born by emergency c-section at 1:58 a.m.

Please be praying for my friend and her dear baby.  The baby is doing much better now that she’s out of the womb, but sweet Abigail is definitely not out of the woods, and these next 24 hours are critical.  The whole little family needs intervention from the merciful, powerful, loving hand of God — baby, mom, and even dad.

I’m so sad to hear this. I will pray hard.

  2. I feel for her and her family – that’s how dudelet was born. Scariest thing I ever experienced. Hope she’s in good hands.
